2 paper accepted at ACL workshop on Cultural Heritage, Social Sciences, Humanities and Literature (LaTeCH-CLfL 2017)

2 papers with involvement of CEDIFOR members have been accepted at the Joint SIGHUM Workshop on Computational Linguistics for Cultural Heritage, Social Sciences, Humanities and Literature, which will take place in conjunction with the Annual Meeting of the Association for Computational Linguistics (ACL) in August 2017 in Vancouver, Canada.

The first paper "Distantly Supervised POS Tagging of Low-Resource Languages under Extreme Data Sparsity: The Case of Hittite" by Sukhareva et al. describes a novel approach for POS tagging in an under-resourced language. The second one, "Automated Translation and Information Retrieval on the Sumerian Historical Language" by Pagé-Perron et al., also deals with an under-resourced language and presents results for machine translation.
